Pav bhaji is a classic Mumbai street food: a spiced vegetable mash (bhaji) made with potatoes, tomatoes, peas, and peppers, served with buttered, toasted bread rolls (pav). It was born on the streets of Mumbai and is now one of India's most loved snacks. At Spice Street we make it the Mumbai way—with Amul butter for that authentic richness, fresh vegetables, and house masalas. You can order it regular or as spicy pav bhaji for extra heat, or as cheese pav bhaji with a layer of melted Amul cheese on top. What makes ours distinctive is the balance of spice levels, the quality of ingredients, and the same care you'd find at a beloved Mumbai stall.
Spice Street dishes use Amul brand cheese and butter, which are not vegan. Vegan cheese options are not currently available at Spice Street. Contact us before your visit if you have specific vegan dietary needs.
The Pav (bread) at Spice Street is made with wheat; we do not offer a gluten-free version at this time. Some guests choose to bring their own bread. We also have several other options on the menu, including a variety of dosas (currently only at the Spice Street Food Truck) many of which are gluten free or can be made gluten free upon request.
